Next-generation refractive surgery
Clerio is developing a noninvasive LIRIC technology. Instead of changing the shape of the cornea using cutting or ablation, LIRIC alters the cornea’s refractive index using a femtosecond laser. The procedure can be used for custom corrections such as hyperopia, presbyopia and higher-order aberrations, offering superior optical quality and visual acuity.
A safer, better option
The dryness and discomfort sometimes associated with refractive surgery is due to the severing of the corneal nerves. Clerio’s LIRIC technology is tissue-sparing, which does not require cutting a flap or through corneal nerves.
ABOUT CLERIO VISION
Clerio Vision was founded based on groundbreaking research from the University of Rochester using femtosecond lasers for noninvasive vision correction in contact lenses, the human cornea and intraocular lenses (IOLs). We are dedicated to providing a wide array of solutions to the millions of patients requiring vision correction.
